James

JAMES

Christ's ½ brother, and son of Alphaeus (or Cleopas). And ½ brother of Matthew. (Matt 10:3, Mark 2:14,3:18, Luke 6:15, Acts 1:13)

Matthew 13:55  Is not this the carpenter's son? is not His mother called Mary? and His brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

James is written to both Houses of Israel, which are Judah (the circumcision) and Israel (the uncircumcision, also known as dispersed Israel).

The House of Judah are the southern tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi.

The House of Israel are the northern tribes of Reuben, Simeon, Gad, Issachar, Napthali, Dan, Asher, Zebulun, Ephraim and Manasseh (Joseph's sons).

Of course there were some of each tribe in each kingdom of Israel. The Levites were in both kingdoms because they had the office of the priesthood.

Yahshua Christ, as well as His disciples, Judahite leaders, and Josephus the historian, knew that the main body of the 12 tribes was located outside Palestine.

James shows himself possessed of an intimate knowledge of the history of his racial background and the besetting faults of the people of his race – love of riches, sharp practice in business dealings, unbridled and boastful speech.

The “churches” teach that the 12 tribes disappeared among the Assyrians. This is how they support replacing Israel with the “church”.  And the meaning of Gentile. Gentile is a Latin word that means  nation, race, or kin. But the meaning has been changed to mean non-Jew, or non-Israelite. The word “Gentile” should not even be in the Bible, because it was not in the older manuscripts, and because it simply means -a nation or race of people of the same kin.  Take Sarah for example. Genesis 25:22  And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of Yahweh. 23  And Yahweh said unto her, Two nations (H1471) are in your womb...

Why didn't the translators of the KJV say, 'Two Gentiles are in your womb...'?

H1471 is used over 550x in the OT. For both nations and for Gentiles.

It only means -those of the same race, nation, or kin. Period.

The enemies of Christ have deceived society into believing that we are “Gentiles”. By falling for this deception you give up your true heritage. You are NOT an “adopted” or “grafted in” “Gentile” or “church”, taking the place of the Israel of the OT.

You ARE an Israelite of one or more of the tribes of Israel and the rightful heir to the Kingdom of Yahweh.

The word 'ecclesia' from the Greek, means, a called out body, an assembly or gathering of saints, the people of the posterity of Jacob. Each person is an 'ecclesia', a member of the group, a member of the body of Christ.

The KJV translators were ordered to replace 'ecclesia' and it's meaning, to “church” and it's meaning.

The body of Christ is not some building with an assorted mix of people in it.

The (ecclesia) are the people. God's people, His children, with His Spirit (DNA). Anglo-saxon Israel. The race of Adam.

The original Greek will be used often to show the deviation from translation found in the KJV.

Note: The anti-scriptural word “Gentile” is not used in the book of James.

Paul taught that you did good deeds because you had faith (allegiance).

James taught that you had faith (allegiance), so you did good deeds.

Both teaching the same thing, just different view points.

Salutation

James 1:1  James, a servant of God and of the Master Yahshua Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.   (Mat 13:55; Mar 6:3; Act 15:13; Gal 1:19)

So do you believe your “church” or do you believe verse 1?

Don't forget, this is after Christ died. James is not addressing the “church”. He is addressing the descendants of the 12 tribes, scattered across the Greco-Roman world, and which are already at that time migrating and settling the nations of Europe. These are Anglo-Saxon caucasian peoples. The seed of the promise to Abraham.

Belief and Wisdom

1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers (various) temptations (trials);   (Wis 3:5-6)

Acts 5:41  ... rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name (Yahshua).

1Peter 1:6  Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are pained through various trials:

1:7  That the trial (test) of your faith (allegiance, belief), being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory (dignity) at the appearing of Yahshua Christ:

1:3  Knowing this, that the trying (testing) of your faith (The Belief of you) worketh patience (endurance).

Romans 5:3  And not only, but we should boast in afflictions also, knowing that affliction worketh endurance;

5:4  And endurance a tried character, and the tried character an expectation;

5:5  And the expectation does not disgrace, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.

Verses 2-3 teach us that we are to be happy when we are tried and tested.

1:4  But let patience (endurance) have her perfect (finished) work, that you may be perfect and entire (complete), wanting nothing.

1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  (Wis 8:21; Sir 51:13-14; 1 Ki 3:9; Pro 2:3-6; Mat 7:7)

The Greek: 5  Now if one of you wants wisdom, he must ask from Yahweh, who gives to all sincerely and without reproaching, and it shall be given to him.

1Kings 3:9  Give therefore your servant (Solomon) an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this your so great a people?

Proverbs 2:3  Yea, if you criest after knowledge, liftest up your voice for understanding;

2:4  If you seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as hid treasures;

2:5  Then shalt you understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.

2:6  For Yahweh giveth wisdom: out of His mouth knowledge and understanding.

Matthew 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

1:6  But let him ask in faith (belief), nothing wavering (doubting). For he that (doubts) wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Mark 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received, and it shall be for you.

1Timothy 2:8  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without anger and argument.

1:7  For let not that man think (suppose) that he shall receive any thing of the Master.

Psalm 37:2  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Poverty and Riches

1:9  Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

9  The lowly brother must boast in his grandeur,

1:10  But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

Job 14:2  He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

1:11  For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace (beauty) of the fashion (appearance) of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways (purposes).   (Isa 40:6-7)

Trial and Temptation

1:12  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation (trials): for when he is tried (approved), he shall receive the crown of life, which the Prince hath promised to them that love Him.

Job 5:17  Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not you the chastening of the Almighty:

1:13  Let no man say when he is tempted (enticed), I am tempted (enticed) of God: for God cannot be tempted (enticed) with evil, neither tempteth (entices) He any man:   (Sir 15:11-20)

13  No one being tried must say that “From Yahweh I am tried”! For Yahweh is not able to be tempted by evil, and He tries no one,

Yahweh does not do evil. Yahweh does not tempt us. He tests us, He tries us.

1:14  But every man is tempted (enticed), when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

1:15  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

15  Then the desire conceiving gives birth to error, and the error being accomplished brings forth death.

Job 15:35  They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.

The wages of sin is death. There has to be an act to receive judgment.

In verses 13-15 James defines the stages of sin.

The test, or temptation of lust or desire.

When we ACT on the lust or desire, the penalty of sin is death.

1:16  Do not err (be deceived, wander from the truth), my beloved brethren.

1:17  Every good gift (act of giving) and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.   (Mal 3:6)

John 3:27  John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

1:18  Of His own will begat He us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures (creations).

James is referring to our ancestors, the 12 tribes. 'Creatures' should be 'creations', what Yahweh created, or established.

Hearing and Doing the Word

1:19  Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear (quick to listen), slow to speak, slow to wrath (anger):   (Sir 5:11)

Ecclesiastes 5:1  Keep your foot when you goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

Proverbs 10:19  In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

1:20  For the wrath (anger) of man worketh (accomplishes) not the righteousness of God.

1:21  Wherefore lay apart (aside) all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness (residue of evil), and receive with meekness the engrafted (implanted) word, which is able to save your souls. (Mat 13:4-23)

Acts 13:26  Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

1:22  But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving (defrauding) your own selves.   (Mat 7:24-27; Luk 6:46-49, 8:21; Rom 2:13; Col 3:8; Heb 4:11; 1Pet 2:1; Rev 22:14)

But the “churches” teach that all you have to do is “just believe”.

1:23  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

23  Because if one is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing the appearance of his race in a mirror,

When we hear and don't do, we are just like the heathen, the other races.

'Natural'. The definition means: descent, origin, source, nativity, race. The Greek word is 'genesis'. What is Genesis, but the origin of the generations of Adam? This Bible is written by, to, for and about the race of Adam, which by the way, Adam in Hebrew means, ruddy, to show blood in the face, fair. What race of people is this describing?

'Natural' is a noun in Greek. The KJV changed it from a noun to an adjective.

1:24  For he beholdeth (observes) himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner (sort) of man he was.

1:25  But whoso looketh into the perfect law (Torah) of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in (by) his deed.   (Jas 2:12)

Years after Christ died, the apostles are still teaching Torah. The 'churches' have 'done away with it'!

1:26  If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Psalm 34:13  Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.

1:27  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless (orphans) and widows in their affliction (tribulations), and to keep himself unspotted from the world (society).

Warning Against Partiality

James 2:1  My brethren, have not the faith (The Belief) of our Prince Yahshua Christ, the Master of glory, with respect of persons.

The Greek: 1  My brethren, do not with respect of the stature of persons hold The Belief of our Prince Yahshua Christ of honor.

The “churches” teach that 'respect of persons' means God doesn't distinguish between the races. But scripture teaches that Yahweh does not distinguish between the rich and poor, or the elevated of society verses the lowly. It is referring to the 'status' of a person. The law is blind to the status of a person.

Leviticus 19:15  Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: you shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt you judge your neighbour.

Deuteronomy 1:17  Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

Here are a few more (Job 34:19,  Is 11:3-4, Prov 24:23, Acts 10:34, Rom 2:11, Eph 6:9, Col 3:25)

 2:2  For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile (filthy) raiment (rags);

2:3  And you have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:

2:4  Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

4  Have you not made a distinction among yourselves and become judges of evil reasonings?

2:5  Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world (society) rich in faith (belief), and heirs of the kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him?

John 14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.

2:6  But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

6  But you dishonor the beggar? Do the wealthy not exercise power over you, and they themselves drag you into trial?

2:7  Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?

Acts 11:26  ... And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

2:8  If you fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, You shalt love your neighbour as yourself, you do well:

Leviticus 19:18  Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shalt love your neighbour (kin) as yourself: I am Yahweh.

2:9  But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced (convicted) of the law as transgressors.

2:10  For whosoever shall keep the whole law (Torah), and yet offend in one point, he is guilty (liable) of all.   (4Mac 5:20)

Deuteronomy 27:26  Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Matthew 5:19  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

When you aren't following one law, you are disrespecting them all.

2:11  For He that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you art become a transgressor of the law (Torah).   (Exo 20:13-14; Deut 5:17-18)

2:12  So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law (Torah) of liberty.   (Jas 1:25; Joh 8:32-36)

2:13  For he shall have judgment without mercy (those who are merciless, have no loving-commitment), that hath shewed no mercy (compassion, loving-commitment); and mercy (compassion, loving-commitment) rejoiceth against judgment.

If we don't show our brethren mercy, why should Yahweh show us mercy? (Matt 7:2)

The “churches” teach that we should not judge. Scripture teaches that we should judge righteously. We are to point out unrighteousness and correct our brethren.

Belief Without Works Is Dead

2:14  What doth it profit (benefit), my brethren, though a man say he hath faith (belief), and have not works? can faith (The Belief) save him?

The “churches” teach you, “Yes”. Who will you put your trust in, the “churches” or scripture?

2:15  If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

Luke 3:11  He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

2:16  And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things (provisions) which are needful to the body; what doth it profit (benefit)?

1John 3:18  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

2:17  Even so faith (The Belief), if it hath not works, is dead, being alone (according to itself).

It cannot be separated. Why don't the “churches” teach the same thing that scripture does?

2:18  Yea, a man may say, You have faith (belief), and I have works: show me your faith (The Belief of you) without your works, and I will show you my faith (The Belief of me) by my works.

2:19  You believest (are believing) that there is one God; you doest well: the devils also believe (are believing), and tremble.   (Deut 6:4)

2:20  But wilt you know, O vain man, that faith (The Belief) without works is dead?

2:21  Was not Abraham our father justified (deemed righteous) by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  (Gen 22:1-14; Sir 44:19-21; 1Mac 2:52)

Abraham didn't “just believe”. He performed an act.

2:22  Seest you how faith (The Belief) wrought (was working) with his works, and by works was faith (The Belief) made perfect (matured)?

Hebrews 11:17  By faith (allegiance, belief) Abraham, when he was tried (tested), offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten (most beloved) son,

2:23  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed (accounted) unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  (Gen 15:6; Isa 41:8; 2Chr 20:7)

2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified (deemed righteous), and not by faith (out of belief) only.

2:25  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot (inn keeper) justified (deemed righteous) by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?   (Josh 2:1-21)

2:26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith (The Belief) without works is dead also.

So you can follow your “church” and “just believe”, or you can follow scripture and have faith (allegiance, belief) AND works (imitating Christ's example, obeying).

Chapter 3 is speaking on a personal level.

Taming the Tongue

James 3:1  My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

The Greek: 1  You must not produce many teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive a greater judgment.

We better be teaching the truth. There are way to many denominations and preachers teaching the same lies and apostasy that they were taught in error. There are more “churches” now than ever, and we are further away from Yahweh and the truth than ever.

3:2  For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.   (Sir 5:9-15, 14:1, 28:13-26)

2  For we all fail often! If anyone does not fail in word, he is a perfect man able to guide with a bridle even the whole body.

3:3  Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn (maneuver) about their whole body.

Psalm 32:9  Be you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto you.

3:4  Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned (maneuvered) about with a very small helm (rudder), whithersoever the governor listeth (being driven straight where impulse desires).

3:5  Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things (loudly). Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

Proverbs 12:18  There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

Psalm 12:3  Yahweh shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

3:6  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity (an ornament of injustice): so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.   (Sir 5:13, 28:22)

Proverbs 16:27  An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.

Matthew 15:11  Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

Luke 12:49  I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

3:7  For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

Psalm 140:3  They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

3:8  But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

3:9  Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.   (Gen 1:26-27)

3:10  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing (praises) and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

3:11  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

3:12  Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Verses 11-12 are speaking about the lies of the tongue. The tongues of the “churches” teach that a “believer” will be “grafted in”. If you understand scripture, the wild olives that were grafted in were the Romans, who were descendants of Judah's son Zerah, who left Egypt before the Exodus and settled the Greco-Roman world, missing out on the experiences and giving of the law. Later to be reminded of who they were through the gospel.

Yahweh does not approve of hybrids, or mixing. You can't take one plant, or race, and join it with a different one.

Two Kinds of Wisdom

3:13  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation (conduct) his works with meekness of wisdom.   (Sir 19:20-30)

Galatians 6:4  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

3:14  But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

3:15  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

Philippians 3:19  Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

3:16  For where envying (jealousy) and strife (rivalry) is, there is confusion (instability) and every evil work.

1Corinthians 3:3  For you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men?

3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy (compassion, loving-commitment) and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

3:18  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.   (Php 1:11)

Fruit is the product of righteousness. 'Just believing' is not a product.

Chapter 4 is speaking on a tribal, or national level

Friendship With the World

James 4:1  From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?   (Rom 7:23)

The Greek: 1  From where are battles, and from where are fights among you? Is it not from this: from your pleasures making war among your members?

Talking about inter tribal rivalries. Kin against kin.

4:2  Ye lust (desire), and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.

4:3  Ye ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts.

3  You request and do not receive for reason that you request evil, in order that you may be consumed in your pleasures!

Job 27:8  For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when Yahweh taketh away his soul?

27:9  Will Yahweh hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

27:10  Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon Yahweh?

Psalm 18:41  They cried, but there was none to save them: (cried) even unto Yahweh, but He answered them not.

Psalm 66:18  If I regard iniquity in my heart, Yahweh will not hear me:

We must always call upon Yahweh, not just when we need Him or want something.

4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world (society) is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world (society) is the enemy of God.   (Mat 13:22; Luk 4:5-6, 14:33; Rom 12:2; 1Jn 2:15-17)

4  Adulterers! Do you not know that the love of Society is hatred for Yahweh? He therefore who would desire to be a friend of Society establishes himself as an enemy of Yahweh!

4:5  Do you think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

5  Or do you suppose that vainly the Scripture says: “With envy yearns the spirit which dwells in us”?

Genesis 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the land, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

That's why we must continually strive to pass this test called mortal life, so by our conduct (works) we would be approved for the next.

4:6  But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace (favor, Divine influence) unto the humble.   (Pro 3:34)

6  But more greatly He gives favor, on which account it says: “Yahweh opposes the arrogant, but He gives favor to the humble.”

4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

7  ...But stand against the False Accuser, and he will flee from you.

4:8  Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.   (Heb 10:22)

2Chronicles 15:2  And he (Azariah) went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; Yahweh is with you, while you be with Him; and if you seek Him, He will be found of you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

Isaiah 1:16  Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes; cease to do evil;

1Peter 1:22  Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

4:9  Be afflicted (endure hardship), and mourn, and weep: let your laughter (must) be turned to mourning (grief), and your joy to heaviness (sorrow).

Matthew 5:4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

We must endure hardship and we must grieve. We must learn from our errors.

4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Master, and He shall lift you up.

Job 22:29  When men are cast down, then you shalt say, There is lifting up; and He shall save (preserve) the humble person.

Warning Against Unrighteously Judging Another

4:11  Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law (Torah), and judgeth the law: but if you judge the law, you art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

11  Do not slander one another, brethren. He slandering a brother or condemning his brother slanders the law and condemns the law. Now if you condemn the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

In verse 11 of the KJV the first three words 'judge' is G2919 which means condemn. The last 'judge' is G2923. The “churches” use these types of verses to support their doctrine of “don't judge”. Scripture demands we judge righteously and correct our brethren when they stray from The Way. Yahweh will judge everyone, it's up to us to stand for righteousness. Not tolerance like the “churches” teach.

4:12  There is one lawgiver (and judge), who is able to save and to destroy: who art you that judgest another?

Matthew 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Disputes should be handled privately. If they can't, they should find a witness. If still nothing is settled, it must go to the elders, or those appointed.

Boasting About Tomorrow

4:13  Go to now (Come on), you that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell (trade), and get gain (profit):

Proverbs 27:1  Boast not yourself of to morrow; for you knowest not what a day may bring forth.

4:14  Whereas you know not what shall be (your condition) on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.   (Job 7:7; Wis 2:4, 5:9-13)

Every plan in our lives should include Yahweh.

4:15  For that you ought to say, If the Prince will (desires), we shall live, and do this, or that.

4:16  But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

1Corinthians 5:6  Your glorying (boasting) is not good. Know you not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Christ talked to the Pharisees a lot regarding their leaven. (Matt 16:6,11, Mark 8:15, Luke 12:1)

4:17  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

17  Therefore he knowing to do good and not doing it, for him it is error.

We are being punished as a nation because we know better, but still sin. And allow sin.

The scriptures teach against unrighteousness. This would include homos and mixed couples in church. Allowing evil in our society, agreeing with what the “churches” teach in error and not searching the scriptures to verify. Allowing tolerance instead of casting evil out.

Silence in a court of law is acceptance.

Warning to Rich Oppressors

James 5:1  Go to now (Come on), you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries (hardships) that shall come upon you.

Proverbs 11:28  He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Luke 6:24  But woe unto you that are rich! for you have received your consolation.

5:2  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.  (Job 13:28)

5:3  Your gold and silver is cankered (corroded); and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.   (Mat 6:19; Sir 29:10-12)

Romans 2:5  But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Verses 1-3 go with the parable of storing up treasure in Luke 12:15-21.

5:4  Behold, the hire (wages) of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of Yahweh of Sabaoth (Armies).

Leviticus 19:13  You shalt not defraud your neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with you all night until the morning.

Deuteronomy 24:15  At his day you shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against you unto Yahweh, and it be sin unto you.

Jeremiah 22:13  Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

5:5  Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

Job 21:13  They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.

5:6  Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.   (Wis 2:10-20)

The Greek: 6  You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous, who did not oppose you!

Patience in Suffering

5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Master. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

'rain' is not in the older manuscripts in James.

Deuteronomy 11:14  That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you mayest gather in your corn, and your wine, and thine oil.

Hosea 6:3  Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Yahweh: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

The latter and the former rain can mean the OT and the NT.

In verse 7 James is talking about the early and latter fruits of righteousness. Christ is the husbandman waiting for the works of the children of Israel (Us). The first fruits being the day of Pentecost, the latter being the reaping of the harvest at Judgment day.

5:8  Be you also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Prince draweth nigh.

We should always conduct ourselves as true Christians, imitating Christ.

5:9  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest you be condemned (judged): behold, the Judge standeth before the door.

5:10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of Yahweh, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Matthew 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful (extremely sympathetic), and of tender mercy (compassionate).   (Job 1:21-22, 2:10; Psa 103:8)

11  Behold, we are blessed who are enduring. You have heard of the endurance of Job and you know the accomplishment of Yahweh, that Yahweh is very affectionate and compassionate.

5:12  But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest you fall into condemnation (judgment).

Matthew 5:34  But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

The Jews have an oath that they swear to every year called the Kol Nidre.

From the Jewish Encyclopedia.

"All vows, obligations, oaths, and anathemas (curses), whether called 'ḳonam,' 'ḳonas,' or by any other name, which we may vow, or swear, or pledge, or whereby we may be bound, from this Day of Atonement until the next (whose happy coming we await), we do repent. May they be deemed absolved, forgiven, annulled, and void, and made of no effect; they shall not bind us nor have power over us. The vows shall not be reckoned vows; the obligations shall not be obligatory; nor the oaths be oaths."

The Jews, who are descendants of Cain and Esau, swear every year to not uphold their oaths. In other words, any oath or promise they make will not be honored by them. More plainly, they give themselves permission to lie. Only the Devil's children think and operate like this.

The Prayer of Belief

5:13  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Verse 13 should not be questions.

13  One who suffers ill among you must pray. One who is cheerful must sing.

5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church (assembly); and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Master (Yahshua):   (Mar 6:13)

The beginning of verse 14 should not be a question. It should read 'Any sick among you must summon the elders...'

5:15  And the prayer of faith (The Belief) shall save the sick, and the Prince shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven (sent forth/away from) him.  (Isa 33:24)

5:16  Confess (acknowledge) your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  (Num 11:2; Sir 4:26)

John 9:31  Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth His will, him He heareth.

5:17  Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (1 Kings chapters 17/18; Sir 48:2-3)

5:18  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.   (1Ki 18:42-45)

 5:19  Brethren, if any of you do err (wander, fall away) from the truth, and one convert (correct) him;

5:20  Let him know, that he which converteth (corrects) the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide (cover) a multitude of sins.   (Pro 10:12; Tob 12:9; 1Pet 4:8)

Matthew 18:15  Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you hast gained your brother.

JAMES – CHURCH DOCTRINE VS. SCRIPTURE

Below are 3 sources of what the modern churches preach today about the book of James.

The purpose is to expose the apostasy and perversion of the scriptures, and to educate our people about the truth of our heritage. That we, the Anglo-Saxon race who are the descendants of ancient Israel, are the people of Abraham's seed and therefore the heirs of the promises of Yahweh. Not the Jews who distort and pervert the scriptures and teach the 'traditions of men'.

The book of James is a General Epistle (Apostolic Letter). James the half-brother of Jesus wrote it approximately 48-49 A.D. It was likely the first New Testament book (letter) to be written. The key personalities of this book are James and Persecuted Christians. James wrote this book to Jewish believers (James wrote to the 12 tribes scattered abroad, who are not Jews, but Israelites) to encourage them to endure and live bold Christian lives. James is a book about practical Christian living that reflects a genuine faith that transforms lives. In many ways, it is similar to the OT book of Proverbs.

•    In chapter 1, James teaches believers to test their faith and “prove yourselves doers of the word” (1:22). James encourages believers to put their faith into action, and to be servants of Jesus Christ.

•    Chapters 2-3, James describes the relationship between faith and works. He teaches that a person of faith without works demonstrates useless faith. What good is a person’s faith if they don’t present it to the world? A believer’s good works are evidence of their faith in Jesus Christ. He also teaches that everyone is a sinner and that if one of the 10 Commandments are broken, than that person is guilty of breaking every one of them, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all” (2:10).

•    In Chapters 4-5, James gives wise instruction to believers. He said, “Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you” (4:7). A faithful believer will desire to follow hard after God in service, obedience, and prayer. In the last chapter James stresses the weight and magnitude of prayer for every believer. He uses the word “Prayer” 7 times, signifying its importance. In the final verse of his book James expresses the magnitude of living faith in action saying:

My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” (5:19-20)

Who wrote the book?

While James did not specifically identify himself as to which “James” he was (James 1:1), the author is widely thought to be James the half-brother of Jesus. James was not a follower of Jesus during the Savior’s time on earth (Mark 3:21–35; John 7:5) but eventually became an apostle in the vein of Paul, as one who had seen and believed the Lord (Prince) post-resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:7; Galatians 1:19). After witnessing the Lord’s (Prince's) resurrected body, James became one of the leaders of the church (assembly) at Jerusalem. Peter singled him out among the other Christians there following Peter’s miraculous release from prison (Acts 12:17). James made the deciding speech at the Jerusalem Council (15:13–22), and Paul called James one of the pillars of the church (assembly) (Galatians 2:9).

Where are we?

As one of the chief leaders in the church (assembly) at Jerusalem, James wrote from that city prior to the meeting of the Jerusalem Council, which Luke recorded in Acts 15. At that council, James, along with Peter and Paul, affirmed the decision to take the gospel message to the Gentiles (dispersed Israelites). This council met in AD 49, meaning James likely wrote his letter in AD 45–48. Such a significant event as the Jerusalem Council warranted comment from James, as he was writing to a Jewish Christian audience (that's like saying a Devil Saint) There is a difference between Judaism and Christianity. But James made no mention of Gentile Christians at all (because “Gentile” only means nation, race or kin) He is writing to the dispersed children of Israel that were branching out past the Greco-Roman Empire towards Europe, making an early date for the letter most likely. In fact, it was likely the first New Testament book written.

Why is James so important?

The book of James looks a bit like the Old Testament book of Proverbs dressed up in New Testament clothes. Its consistent focus on practical action in the life of faith is reminiscent of the Wisdom Literature in the Old Testament, encouraging God’s people to act like God’s people. The pages of James are filled with direct commands to pursue a life of holiness. He makes no excuses for those who do not measure up. In the mind of this early church (assembly) leader, Christians evidence their faith by walking in certain ways and not others. For James, a faith that does not produce real life change is a faith that is worthless (James 2:17).

What's the big idea?

In the opening of his letter, James called himself a bond-servant of God, an appropriate name given the practical, servant-oriented emphasis of the book. Throughout the book, James contended that faith (allegiance) produces authentic deeds. In other words, if those who call themselves God’s people truly belong to Him, their lives will produce deeds or fruit. In language and themes that sound similar to Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount, James rails against the hypocritical believer who says one thing but does another. Like most all today's “churches”!

For James, faith was no abstract proposition but had effects in the real world. James offered numerous practical examples to illustrate his point: faith endures in the midst of trials, calls on God for wisdom, bridles the tongue, sets aside wickedness, visits orphans and widows, and does not play favorites. He stressed that the life of faith is comprehensive, impacting every area of our lives and driving us to truly engage in the lives of other people in the world. The Bible teaches segregation from the other races, but the other people in the world, according to scripture, would be the other anglo-saxon nations of Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, our brethren, our kin. The Bible is the book by, to, for and about the generations of Adam. While James recognized that even believers stumble (James 3:2), he also knew that faith should not coexist with people who roll their eyes at the less fortunate, ignore the plight of others, or curse those in their paths.

How do I apply this?

More than any other book in the New Testament, James places the spotlight on the necessity for believers to act in accordance with our faith. How well do your actions mirror the faith that you proclaim? This is a question that we all struggle to answer well. We would like to point to all the ways our faith and works overlap but too often see only gaps and crevices.

As you read the letter from James, focus on those areas that he mentioned: your actions during trials, your treatment of those less fortunate, the way you speak and relate to others, and the role that money plays in how you live your life. Allow James to encourage you to do good, according to the faith (allegiance) you proclaim.

Summary of the Book of James

Author

The author identifies himself as James (1:1); he was probably the brother of Jesus and leader of the Jerusalem council (Ac 15). Four men in the NT have this name. The author of this letter could not have been the apostle James, who died too early (a.d. 44) to have written it. The other two men named James had neither the stature nor the influence that the writer of this letter had.

James was one of several brothers of Christ, probably the oldest since he heads the list in Mt 13:55. At first he did not believe in Jesus and even challenged him and misunderstood his mission (Jn 7:2-5). Later he became very prominent in the church (assembly):

    • He was one of the select individuals Christ appeared to after his resurrection (1co 15:7;).

    • Paul called him a "pillar" of the church (assembly) (gal 2:9).

    • Paul, on his first post-conversion visit to Jerusalem, saw James (Gal 1:19).

    • Paul did the same on his last visit (ac 21:18).

    • When Peter was rescued from prison, he told his friends to tell James (ac 12:17).

    • James was a leader in the important council of Jerusalem (ac 15:13).

    • Jude could identify himself simply as "a brother of James" (jude 1:1), so well known was James. He was martyred c. a.d. 62.

Date

Some date the letter in the early 60s. There are indications, however, that it was written before a.d. 50:

    • 1. Its distinctively Jewish (Christian) nature suggests that it was composed when the church (assembly) was still predominantly Jewish (Christian).  The Bible is not a Jewish book, the Jews religion is Judaism and their bible is the Talmud. The Jews were trying to Judaize Christianity. They actually succeeded because the world has been deceived and most all “churches” teach their perverted doctrine called Judeo-Christianity.

    • 2. It reflects a simple church (assembly)order -- officers of the church (assembly) are called "elders" (5:14) and "teachers" (3:1).

    • 3. No reference is made to the controversy over Gentile circumcision. Because Gentile does NOT mean non-Jew. There is no controversy, only confusion from ignorance. What you have been taught in “church” about Gentile is NOT scriptural.

      4. The Greek term synagoge ("synagogue" or "meeting") is used to designate the meeting or meeting place of the church (2:2). King James ordered his translators to change the word 'ecclessia', which means a 'called out' body (the seed of Abraham), to the word “church”.  Each descendant of Jacob is an 'ecclesia'. When we meet, we are an assembly of the 'called'. The “church” does NOT take the place of the children of Israel.

If this early dating is correct, this letter is the earliest of all the NT writings -- with the possible exception of Galatians.

Recipients

The recipients are identified explicitly only in 1:1: "the twelve tribes scattered among the nations." Some hold that this expression refers to Christians in general, but the term "twelve tribes" would more naturally apply to Jewish Christians. This is a flat out lie, born of ignorance, or deception. The 12 tribes can be historically and biblically traced to the peoples of white nations of the world. Example: Dan-Denmark, Simeon-Spain, Napthali-Italy, etc. Furthermore, a Jewish (Christian) audience would be more in keeping with the obviously Jewish (Christian) nature of the letter (e.g., the use of the Hebrew title for God, kyrios sabaoth, "Lord Almighty," 5:4). Actually 'sabaoth' means Armies. That the recipients were Christians is clear from 2:1; 5:7-8. It has been plausibly suggested that these were believers from the early Jerusalem church (assembly) who, after Stephen's death, were scattered as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Syrian Antioch (see Ac 8:1; 11:19 and notes). This would account for James's references to trials and oppression, his intimate knowledge of the readers and the authoritative nature of the letter. As leader of the Jerusalem church(assembly), James wrote as pastor to instruct and encourage his dispersed people in the face of their difficulties.

Distinctive Characteristics

Characteristics that make the letter distinctive are: (1) its unmistakably Jewish nature; This commentary is unmistakably Jewish. A Jew is not and cannot be a Christian. (2) its emphasis on vital Christianity, characterized by good deeds and a faith that works (genuine faith must and will be accompanied by a consistent lifestyle); (3) its simple organization; (4) its familiarity with Jesus' teachings preserved in the Sermon on the Mount; (5) its similarity to OT wisdom writings such as Proverbs; (6) its excellent Greek.
