Bible History of Translation

WHAT IS THE BIBLE    and    BIBLE  HISTORY  OF  TRANSLATION

The Bible is written by, to, for and about the race of Adam.

-The Bible contains a complete record of the transition of God, establishing into earth, a household of people, who are HIS own people of HIS own Spirit, and of HIS own life. They, now in flesh begotten bodies, are to occupy and to build HIS Kingdom.

Genesis 5:1  This is the book of the generations (race, descent) of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him;

Origin of the name “Bible”

Yahshua or His apostles never used the term 'Bible'.

Sometime in 2nd century, writers began to use the Greek word “biblia” to describe the Sacred Books.

By 13th century, men forgot that biblia was a neuter plural, meaning “The Books”, and treated it as feminine singular “The Book”. Then “The Bible”.

1382 Wycliff’s translation bore “The Holy Bible”.

The terms 'Old Testament' and 'New Testament' were not used by Jesus and the apostles.

Tertullian, a lawyer/historian, is held responsible for starting the movement that led to naming the two collections of sacred writings: OT' and 'NT'. In translating the Greek word for 'Covenant', by the Latin word 'testamentum' (testament), he gave a wrong meaning to the old Hebrew idea, which expressed a binding relationship between Yahweh and His chosen people. Therefore, a term of jurisprudence took the place of an ideal of Special Relationship. Over time, since Tertullian spoke of the 'Gospels' as the instrument (document), the word 'testament' was substituted for the word instrument, and the original idea was lost.

There are Eight Covenants:

Edenic – Made with Adam and Eve

Adamic – Made with Adam after the fall

Noahic – Made with Noah after the flood

Abrahamic – Made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Mosaic – Declared at Sinai

Palestinian – Made with the children of Israel before entering into the Promised Land

Davidic – Made to the house of David

New – Made in Yahshua Christ

The Old Covenant was from Sinai, the written law and allegiance to Yahweh.

The New Covenant is in Christ, and is His law written on our hearts. It is also the reconciliation of the two houses of Israel and Judah. These today would be the white nations of the world, near and far. We are the true descendants of Jacob and this Bible, OT and NT is our history and heritage. The promises and covenants were made with and to our ancestors.

The Jews are children of Cain and of Esau, and are not Israelites.

The Bible; How it came to us

As Christians, regardless of denomination, we all should be curious enough about the history of our faith (allegiance) to investigate the the beginnings of the Christian assembly and how the Bible has come to us through the years. A great mass of people are in total ignorance as to the facts pertaining to the origin of this book.

The result of this ignorance is seen in the chaos and confusion and conflict between and within the “churches”.

We must understand the facts about the Book if we are to ever come to a spirit of unity in obedience to God's word.

Authority of Holy Scripture

We know the basis for the Bible is the word of Yahweh, because Yahweh made us to respond to the truth. When we read 'Yahweh is our refuge and strength', we can be assured that His word has only to do with that which proves itself to be true in human experience. The only authority that can be permanently binding is the authority of a fact.

Original languages of Holy Scripture

The OT was originally written in Hebrew; and later translated into Greek.

The NT was originally written in Greek.

The many translations over the years lead to multiple opportunities for errors to creep in.

Errors in King James Bible

The Scriptures, as the prophets originally wrote it, in Hebrew and Aramaic, was truly the word of Yahweh, inspired by Him, true and correct.

So far as the translators have made a perfect and exact translation into English, without the slightest change, it is still the Word of Yahweh. Wherever the translators have changed it, it is no longer the Word of Yahweh, bu only the word of the translator or interpreter.

We must get back to the exact words and meaning that it had in the original. This is where study and research come in.

The KJV version was published in 1611. At that time there were no ancient language scholars as well trained as the best we have now, for they had relatively little of ancient writings to study.

In those days, heresy, which, in practice, was any disagreement with the religious hierarchy, was still punished by most horrible torture and death; so the translators were not eager to dispute older translations. The KJV is well known and loved for it's majestic wording. But the errors must still be corrected.

First, there are those errors where they just didn't understand the meaning of the Hebrew or Greek word and so used the wrong English word.

But it is not all that simple. In nearly all languages, some words have more than one meaning; so which do you take? For example, the English word 'fast'...what does it mean? There are more than 5 meanings. First, it means 'capable of moving very rapidly'; second, it means 'stuck so firmly you can't move'; third, 'to go without eating'; fourth, as applied to colors; and fifth, a slang sense meaning 'of doubtful moral character'. Which meaning will you give when you translate it? Sometimes the general context of the topic will tell you, but not always. For example: 'I asked the Captain, Can you get your ship out of the harbor into the open sea within an hour?' He replied, 'My ship is fast.' Did he mean that his ship was speedy and could do it, or did he mean his ship was stuck fast aground, so that he couldn't move it?

Another difficulty can arise where the Hebrews or Greeks used different words than we use in English to express the same idea. Each language has it's own idioms. For example, if you heard a man say 'I sure painted the town red last night', you would know what he meant, but that's not what he said. An idiom is a word or phrase that is not taken literally. Another example is 'it's raining cats and dogs'.

Again, the meaning of some English words has greatly changed since the KJV was made. For example, take Psalm 119:147, where Hezekiah says 'I prevented the dawning of the morning.' You don't really believe that Hezekiah didn't allow the sun to rise do you? In the year 1611, the English word 'prevent' meant 'to anticipate' or 'to come before'. Today 'prevent' means to hinder or not allow.

Canon- recognized authentication, meaning measuring rod.

The New Testament has about 300 quotations from the Old Testament.

Ezra re-assembled OT books and resorted them to the Temple.

Prior to Babylonian captivity, Hebrew had a different alphabet. (Phoenician alphabet)

Only consonant letters.

Priests and scribes only retained the old Hebrew because of their craft.

Hebrew was followed by Aramaic followed by Greek and by Latin.

The idiom of the Hebrew was not always the same of the Aramaic, Aramaic was like a paraphrasing of Hebrew.

Adding vowel letters created problems.

Periods and comas were used to change pronunciation. Dots and tittles were confused with their placement over or under the tightly fit Hebrew texts.

If a scribe was copying from a manuscript, and couldn’t make sense of it, some would make marginal notes, others would use personal judgment.

Greek had become a great language during time of Alexander the Great.

The quality of the Greek language showed discrepancies.

Some errors were intentional and some were honest errors.

-When the old manuscripts worn out, copies were made. The old manuscripts were usually buried or hidden in walls.

Old manuscripts have YHWH (Yahweh) as the name of God.

The oldest manuscripts Septuagints name God as YHWH.

Aramaic was not used as main language until after the Babylonian captivity.

Aramaic was a Semitic dialect similar to Hebrew.

Northern Aramaic from area of Syrians and Southern Aramaic from Judah.

All the apostles were Galilean and spoke Northern Aramaic, except Paul.

New Testament was Aramaic.

Arabic was a Semitic dialect in the time of Rome, slightly similar to Aramaic and Hebrew.

The churches Saul tried to stamp out spoke and wrote Aramaic.

Aramaic began being translated into Greek around time of Emperor Constantine.

The manuscripts in old Latin-translated out of the Septuagint.(By Jerome 380-410AD)

In the 1400's Old and New Test went through 18 editions, in English.

Jeremiah 8:8  How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Yahweh is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made He it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

The lying pen of the scribes has changed Yahweh's word in scripture.

All the many Bibles ever translated, interpreted, and rewritten, have errors.

Old Testament Canon

The word Canon is Greek, Kanon'; from Phoenician, Kana; or Hebrew, Kanch: stalk or reed. Also meaning measuring rod. The meaning of the word was extended to denote scripture viewed as a rule of faith (allegiance) and conduct.

History of Old Testament Canon

The Ten Commandments written on tablets of stone were deposited in the Ark of the Covenant.

The statutes and ordinances were recorded in the Book of the Covenant (Ex 20:3-23:33, 24:7)

The Book of the Law, written by Moses, was put by the side of the Ark (Deut 31:24-26)

Joshua made his addition (Josh 24:26)

Samuel wrote 'the manner of the kingdom...in a book, and laid it up before Yahweh' (Sam 10:25)

In the days of Josiah, the book of the Law was found in the Temple and recognized by King, priests, prophets and people as authoritative and ancient (2Ki 22:8-20)

Copies of the Law were made (Deut 17:18-20)

Prophets committed their words to writing (Jer 36:32), and were aquainted with each other's writings and quoted them as authority.

These books that were written were at the time recognized as Inspired of Yahweh, and placed in the Tabernacle along with the accumulative group of Sacred Writings. In the Babylonian captivity they were scattered and many copies were destroyed. Ezra, after returning from captivity, re-assembled scattered copies, and restored them as a complete group to their place in the Temple.

Some books had been lost. Such as The Book of the Law of God (Josh 24:26), The Book of the Wars of Yahweh (Num 21:14), The Books of Nathan the Prophet and Gad the Seer (1Chr 29:29), the Prophecy of Ahijah, The Visions of Iddo (2Chr 9:29), The Book of Jehu (2Chr 20:34).

It may be concluded that the Law was canonized 444 BC, the Prophets 200BC, and the Writings 100BC.

Timeline of Bible Translation History

1,400 BC: The first written Word of God: The Ten Commandments delivered to Moses.

(443 BC) 500 BC: Completion of All Original Hebrew Manuscripts which make up The 39 Books of the Old Testament.

TARGUMS - While in captivity, under Babylonians, the Judaeans (not Jews) were forced to accept the Babylonian language. So Chaldee, or the Aramaic supplanted the Hebrew. The oral Targum, was at first a simple paraphrase in Aramaic. Eventually became into writing.

200 BC: Completion of the Septuagint Greek Manuscripts which contain The 39 Old Testament Books AND 14 Apocrypha Books.

Septuagint is direct translation of Hebrew to Greek by 70 Hebrew scribes (LXX) at the behest of the King of Egypt at this time. (Contained the word YHWH in Esther)

The Septuagint: The most celebrated Greek version of the Hebrew Scriptures and the oldest complete translation of them. It was commonly designated by LXX, after the 70 translators reputed to have been employed on the Pentateuch in the time of Ptolemy Philadelphus, 285-246 BC.

The quotations from the OT appearing in the NT are usually citations from the LXX.

The Ethiopian eunuch whom Philip met was reading from the LXX (Acts 8:30-33).

After the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, the LXX lost favor among the Jews because of the successful use made of it by the Christians in establishing the claims of Yahshua Christ.

*** MASSORETIC Texts

(Jews version) known as the text Rabbinic Judaism, originated approximately 100-300 AD. Oldest copy known is from 900 AD.

The serious perversion of scripture begins around this time.

The Jewish scholars called 'Massoretes' began to introduce points in the Hebrew text to indicate the vowels to be used, thus changing the meanings of passages. Their chief concern was to produce a standardized text of the Hebrew OT. Many versions were made.

The Christians used the Septuagint, so the Jews discarded it. When the Christians, in controversy, pressed the Jews with quotations from the prophets (Acts 18:28), of which the fulfillment had been found in Yahshua Christ, the Jews took refuge in a denial of accuracy of the Septuagint translation. Again, this led to the production of several rival versions.

The Jewish scholars and rabbis, taking advantage of this confusion and professing to bring out “authentic texts”, in reality seized on the opportunity to introduce changes designed to oppose the progress of Christianity. This fact can readily be seen by a comparison study with the tree oldest manuscripts of the Bible, namely the Codex Sinaiticus, Alexandrinus and Vaticanus MSS.

The Massoretic Text had altered the number of years in the genealogies of the early Partriarchs of Genesis, so as to make it appear that the sixth thousand year 'day' has not yet arrived and therefore Jesus could not be the Messiah.

Ephrem the Syrian, who lived only 300 years after Christ, wrote: “The Jews have subtracted 600 years from the generations of Adam, Seth, etc., in order that their own books might not convict them concerning the coming of Christ.” It should be noted that this historian does not say anything about a further corruption of just 650 years in respect of those Patriarchs in the period following the Flood, thus showing that the corrupting of the Hebrew text was executed in two stages.

The well known Christian Father Justin Martyr, writing about 148 AD also accused the Jewish rabbis of tampering with the scriptures.

Josephus in his 'Antiquities of the Judaeans' agrees in almost every instance with that of the Greek in the Septuagint.

The Hebrew Samaritan text will show that it's chronology is in agreement with the Septuagint regarding the ages of the Patriarchs, than with the Massoretic.

Archaeology demonstrates the impossibility of the timeline of the Massoretic Texts.

It was in the sixth century that the Massoretes, assembled at Tiberias, decided upon a single Hebrew text (containing corruptions) to be the authentic text for the Jews. “The text, as so fixed by them became the one and only recognized standard from which others were multiplied.” (Oxford Helps, pg 13).  Thus originated the Massoretic Version. It was from late copies of this that the OT of our English Bibles was translated over a thousand years later.

This is a big reason why all our denominations and “churches” today are apostate! They all teach from perverted and distorted changes that the Jews made to our Holy Scriptures!

TALMUD

The Talmud is Babylonian. Jesus called it the “tradition of the elders”. They supplanted the “Pearls” of Scripture with cheap, over elaborate distortions and outright corruptions.

The Funk & Wagnalls 'New College Standard Dictionary 1950' describes the Talmud as 'The body of Jewish civil and religious law (and discussion directly or remotely relating thereto) not comprised in the Pentateuch...'

This '...body of Jewish civil and religious law...' numbers several volumes and covers almost every phase of activity in the Jewish family and community in specific terms not to be associated with the Commandments, Statues and Ordinances given the 'Israelites' through Moses. The Talmud should be known very clearly to all Christians as strictly Jewish in it's origin and function. The Israelites were given the Pentateuch by their (our) God. The Jews founded their own 'tradition'.

New Testament Canon

Like the OT the books of the NT were formed into a unity.

Some books were rejected, those were all of the Apocryphal books.

It is evident that the books of the Apocrypha more clearly reveal the true identity of the children of Jacob and the children of Cain and of Esau. It only makes sense that our enemies would omit undeniable evidence.

Some were lost, such as Paul's first letter to the Corinthians (1Cor 5:9).

The OT books had originated within the compass of one small country; but the NT books in widely separate countries.

The one criteria by which a book was judged before acceptance was whether it was of genuine Apostolic origin.

The original manuscripts of all of the NT books, have been lost. Only copies are left.

Papyrus was the common writing material- made of slices of water plant that grew in Egypt. Two slices, one vertical the other horizontal, were pressed together, and polished. Ink was made of charcoal, gum and water. Rolls were formed, about 30' long by 10" wide.

In the 2nd century AD the NT books began to be made up in 'Codex' form, that is, modern book form.

In the 4th century AD Papyrus was super-ceded by Vellum. Parchment made from skins.

The Vellum manuscripts are called either Uncials or Cursives.

Uncials were written in large capital letters. There are about 160 of them, made between the 4th and 10th centuries. The Cursives were written in small running letters linked together, and were made between the 10th and 15th centuries. He Uncial, being more ancient, is far more valuable.

The 3 oldest, most valuable manuscripts of the New Testament are:

Sinaitic, Vatican, and Alexandrian, which were originally complete Bibles.

1st Century AD: 60 AD Completion of All Original Greek Manuscripts which make up The 27 Books of the New Testament.

90-95 AD Council of Jamnia, a Jewish council, met to revise the Books of the Canon (or the Old Testament as it is known to Christians.) These were the criteria:

The books had to conform to the Pentateuch (the first 5 books).

The books had to be written in Hebrew.

The books had to be written in Palestine.

The books had to be written before 400 B.C..

One result is the removal of the 14 books known as the Apochrypha.

2nd Century AD: New Testament books began to be made up in “Codex” (book) form.

Old Latin: O.T. translated from Greek Septuagint.

Coptic: The vernacular language of Egypt.

315 AD: Athenasius, the Bishop of Alexandria, identifies the 27 books of the New Testament which are today recognized as the canon of scripture.

The Sinaitic Manuscript, or “Codex Sinaiticus” dates around 325 AD was found by a German scholar, Tischendorf in 1844.

360 AD Laodocia Council meets to decide which books and writings will be accepted as Holy Scripture. The Greek Septuagint is accepted for the Old Testament.

382 AD: Jerome's Latin Vulgate Manuscripts Produced which contain All 80 Books (39 Old Test. + 14 Apocrypha + 27 New Test). Completed in 405 AD.

It is used in Celtic monastaries in Britain. During this period the British within the Roman Empire use Latin as the official language.

405 AD: The Vulgate-revision of Old Latin by Jerome, 382-405.

O.T., except the Psalms direct from Hebrew.

Became the Bible of the West for a thousand years.

4th Century AD: Papyrus was super-ceded by Vellum (skins).

The Vellum manuscripts now known are called “Uncials” (capital letters) and “Cursives” (running letters)

The Vatican Manuscript, made in 4th century, sits in Vatican Library since 1481.

Old Syriac: used by Syrians. No complete manuscript exists.

Peshite Syriac: based on the Old Syriac.

Ethiopic: other translations

Gothic: other translations

5th Century AD

The Alexandrian, made in 5th century at Alexandria, sits in British Museum since 1627.

Other manuscripst include “Ephraem”(5th , in Paris, ½ N.T.), “Beza”(5th , U of Cambridge, Gospels and Acts), “Washington”(4th , found in Egypt 1906, in Smithsonian, contains Gospels)

500 AD: Scriptures have been Translated into Over 500 Languages.

If the original writings are not understood, then the REINVENTION cannot be understood either.

“After the 5th Century AD, when the Bible was compiled by the Ancient Church of the East, theologians in Urhai, the serious distortion of the Scriptures began.

Like the Pharisees, the Roman Catholic Church used a well-educated priesthood to manipulate an illiterate and superstitious populace. In both cases, the priesthood exploited and still exploits the people by inventing doctrine that is not found in Scripture.

600 AD: LATIN was the Only Language Allowed for Scripture.

640 AD to 735 AD Aldheim is credited with translating the whole Bible into English while Bede was still working on completing his translation when he died. The translations of these times are based on translations of the Latin Vulgate version rather than translations of the original Hebrew and Greek versions.

676 - Caedmon translated short parts of Bible into Anglo-Saxon.

672-735 - Bede translated short parts of Bible into Anglo-Saxon.

849-901 - Alfred the Great translated short parts of Bible into Anglo-Saxon.

995 AD: Anglo-Saxon (Early Roots of English Language) Translations of The New Testament Produced.

(1378) 1382 AD: Wycliffe is the First Person to Produce a (Hand-Written) manuscript Copy of the Complete Bible from Latin Vulgate; All 80 Books. Pope had him excommunicated, bones burned and cast into the river.

1408 Synod of Oxford tries to suppress the Wycliffe Bible with little success.

1454 AD: Gutenberg Invents the Printing Press; Books May Now be mass-Produced Instead of Individually Hand-Written. The First Book Ever Printed is Gutenberg's Bible in Latin, printed in Mainz, Germany.

1516 AD: Erasmus was so moved to correct the corrupt Latin Vulgate, that in 1516, with the help of printer John Froben, Erasmus Produces a Greek/Latin Parallel New Testament.

1522 AD: Martin Luther's German New Testament.

1525 AD: William Tyndale's translated from original Greek and Hebrew.

New Testament; The First New Testament printed in the English Language.

Tyndale was committed to taking the Bible directly to the people. Expressing open defiance of the Pope, Tyndale said that if God would spare his life he would make it possible for even a ploughboy to know more about Holy Scripture than the Pope himself. By August of 1525 his translation of the New Testament was complete. Printing began at Cologne, but when the authorities forbade the project, Tyndale escaped to Worms, where 6,000 copies were printed and sold in England by April of 1526. Official opposition in England led to the destruction of most of these early copies.

Tyndale’s English work is similar to that of Martin Luther. Although he used Luther’s German translation, Tyndale also drew upon the Latin Vulgate as well as Erasmus’ Greek text. Ninety percent of the New Testament in the King James Version (KJV) is Tyndale’s translation. By the same token, where the KJV departed from Tyndale’s wording, the English Revised Version (ERV) of 1881 went back to it. Without question, this first printed English New Testament is the basis of all future works of translation.

Was persecuted, smuggled bibles into England in bales of merchandise.

After 500 days in prison he was burned at the stake Oct 5,1536.

1525-1526 the Tyndale New Testament became the first printed edition of the scripture in the English language. Subsequent printings of the Tyndale New Testament in the 1530's were often elaborately illustrated.

Luther also published a German Pentateuch in 1523, and another edition of the German New Testament in 1529. In the 1530’s he would go on to publish the entire Bible in German.

1535 AD: Myles Coverdale's Bible; The First Complete Bible printed in the English Language (80 Books: O.T. & N.T. & Apocrypha). From Dutch and Latin sources. Student of Tyndale.

1537 Roger’s Bible -

1537 AD: Tyndale-Matthews Bible; The Second Complete Bible printed in English. Done by John "Thomas Matthew" Rogers (80 Books).

1539 AD: The "Great Bible" (for it's size) Printed; The First English Language Bible Authorized for Public Use (80 Books). Compilation from Tyndale, Rogers, and Coverdale

-In 1539, Thomas Cranmer, the Archbishop of Canterbury, hired Myles Coverdale at the bequest of King Henry VIII to publish the "Great Bible". It became the first English Bible authorized for public use, as it was distributed to every church, chained to the pulpit, and a reader was even provided so that the illiterate could hear the Word of God in plain English. Used until time of “Bloody Mary”

1546 Council of Trent is called to answer the accusations of corruption and apostasy in the Catholic Church by the Protestant Reformers. The Council meets over a 27 year period. One of the results is that Jerome’s Latin Vulgate version of the Bible is held to be the official version of the Bible accepted by the Catholic Church.

-In the 1550's, the Church at Geneva, Switzerland, was very sympathetic to the reformer refugees and was one of only a few safe havens for a desperate people.

There, with the protection of the great theologian John Calvin (author of the most famous theological book ever published, Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion)and John Knox, the great Reformer of the Scottish Church, the Church of Geneva determined to produce a Bible that would educate their families while they continued in exile.

The New Testament was completed in 1557, and the complete Bible was first published in 1560. It became known as the Geneva Bible. The Old Testament was based on Great Bible and New Testament based on Tynedale.

1560 AD: The Geneva Bible Printed by Protestant scholars; The First English Language Bible to add Numbered Verses to Each Chapter (80 Books).

From 1605 to 1606 the scholars engaged in private research. From 1607 to 1609 the work was assembled. In 1610 the work went to press, and in 1611 the first of the huge (16 inch tall) pulpit folios known today as "The 1611 King James Bible" came off the printing press.

The King James Version was published in 1611. It was the revision of the Great Bible.

Committee of 54 revisors were appointed, their orders were given, the Bishops Bible was to be as little changed as it’s truths permitted.

5,788 changes were made in New Testament.

There are over 27,000 mis- translations are in the KJV.(That's an average of 15 errors, mis-translations, substitutions, etc.) per page.

1611 AD: The King James Bible Printed; Originally with All 80 Books. The Apocrypha was officially removed in 1885 Leaving Only 66 Books.

A revision of versions based on Tyndale’s. Also Bishops, Geneva, Matthews and  Coverdale.

For 300 years was household bible of English speaking world.

The King James Version was a government-decreed translation purposefully engineered to uphold the authority of the Anglican Church over the consciences of the English people.

KING JAMES BI-SEXUAL?

The interesting part is King James was 100% certified homosexual.

King James Homosexual, nicknamed affectionately: "Queen James", by his closest subjects including in a official capacity by "Sir Walter Raleigh".

-James was only one year old when he was crowned king of Scotland in 1567. At the age of thirteen, the young king was approached by his second cousin, Esme Stuart d'Aubigny, for the first time. In spite of being twenty-four years Esme's junior, James found himself strongly attracted to the Frenchman. That they were cousins did not seem to matter

Historian William McElwee wrote that James began to "treat Robert Carr in public with the same exaggerated, gross affection as in private." James' contemporaries thought he was odd when he was a teenager worshiping Esme, but as a middle-aged man kissing on Carr with his arms around him, his behavior disturbed many.

King James' final male favorite was George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. Actually, James' affair with this man ran parallel to the one he had with Carr for some time, as they first met in 1614.

As one can imagine, many have tried to cover up the truth about King James VI & I.

According to the letters that James wrote to Carr, the king felt sexually trapped in his unsatisfying marriage and longed for a more satisfactory relationship. James also spoiled Carr with gifts and political power as he did with Esme. The king's eldest son, Prince Henry, strongly disliked Car and was probably jealous of his relationship with James. Anne was not fond of him either, for obvious reasons.

Since he is such an important historic figure, they thought his being gay would have marred the image of the British monarchy. Although James' gay relationships were extramarital, political leaders having affairs was nothing new, not even back then.

In 1617, James gave a daring address to the Privy Council, affirming his right to love men once and for all:

"I, James, am neither a god nor an angel, but a man, like any other. Therefore I act like a man and confess to loving those dear to me more than other men. You may be sure that I love the Earl of Buckingham more than anyone else, and more than you who are here assembled. I wish to speak in my own behalf and not to have it thought to be a defect, for Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had John, and I have George."

If one were to translate this address into modern English, it would roughly sound like, "This is who I am, this is who I love. Get over it."  WOW !!! More (http://www.ministers-best-friend.com/King-James-Homosexual.html)

1613-1901: At that time until today translations have continued as translators gained a better understanding of the Hebrew language and the Greek writers. 300 corrections were made in the 1613 version of the King James Version. In the 18th century Bishop Challoner made revisions to the Rheims-Douay Bible removing some Latin terms and adding the use of King James translation in some areas.

Lost Foundations

Discounting the Old Testament.

Most “church” goers will say that they believe in the Bible...but the question is, what Bible?

If pinned down to specific answers, they will discount the OT. They are skeptical of it's history; they give no credence to it's miracles; they know only utter confusion as to it's prophecies; and they reject it's laws as being repudiated by the NT. For their beauty of language, they will accept a few of the Psalms...those which are not controversial, which could not offend even the most wicked...but they reject all the others which sternly call the Christian to the duties he wishes to evade. They call themselves 'New Testament Christians'.

Christianity is based upon the Old Testament

The 'NT Christians' will confidently assert several doctrines...but are hard put to find the source of them in the NT...but they were told that these doctrines are Christian. In fact, no one can find certain of these doctrines in the Bible, for the real author of a number of doctrines now being taught as Christian is not Matthew, Mark, Luke, James, John, or Paul, but Karl Marx, Joel Osteen, John Hagee, Billy Graham, etc.

Today's “church” doctrine is not found in the Bible. The scriptures do not teach about 'personal salvation', 'once saved, always saved', 'just believe', the law was 'done away with', the flood being worldwide, all races came from Adam, the 'rapture', that Jesus was a Jew, or that the Israelites were Jews, and many more lies of falsehood and deceit.

People have been misled into a belief that the NT repealed all of Yahweh's laws, nullified His promises and discarded His prophecies. They are just saying that the OT is just a record of mean old God's mistakes, which He finally had to abandon and make a fresh start.

The Law and the Prophets are the Foundation of Christianity

Christianity is not something new. It was called 'The Way' in the OT. It is based upon the solid foundation of Yahweh's purpose before time began; it's foundations are Moses and Elijah, David and Isaiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, etc. It is because we have lost these foundations that today many try to build their belief on the false doctrine of the “churches” doctrines.

The Bible is all one book, and no one can understand either half without the other. There is just as much Christianity in the OT as in the NT. The New Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies and promises. Christ used the OT as proof of His identity. He told His listeners to 'search the scriptures', to believe all the prophets have spoken. The only scriptures at His time were the OT books.

The Bible is about the race of Adam. The Israelites in the OT are the same peoples in the NT, and are the same people as the white nations in the world today. Yes, Jesus was a white man, a descendant of Adam, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, through his son Judah. Today, Queen Elizabeth II is the reigning descendant of Judah. She is not a Jew, but a white woman.

The only thing that changed was the part of the law contained in the Ordinances. These were the rules of the sacrifices and offerings performed by the priesthood. These expired because when Christ died, He became our High Priest. Now there is no need for sacrifices and a priesthood. We must come directly to Christ ourselves and make spiritual sacrifices by following His laws and His Way. Everything else is in full effect.
